About Us

Tara Guy is a Board Certified Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant, who has been caring for children and their families for over 9 years. She holds a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies.  Tara is also an HypnoBirthing Childbirth Educator as well as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and volunteer Leader with La Leche League.

Married to her dear husband for over 14 years and the mother of two young children, Tara has a wealth of experience with attachment parenting and extended breastfeeding, and uniquely understands the challenges of raising children while working both from home and outside of the home.

Tara believes that any woman can have a gentle birth and successful breastfeeding relationship with her child, regardless of her background or prior experience. Even in the most special of circumstances, medical interventions can be minimalized to redefine a birth into a gentler, more natural process.

She believes that there needs to be a shift in what our society views as normal birthing, feeding, and parenting of our children. As a strong believer in the benefits of Attachment Parenting, she is striving to empower women to reclaim their birthing and parenting instincts through gentle births, breastfeeding, babywearing, cloth diapering, and gentle parenting techniques.

Tara is dedicated to promoting a cause for babies who are birthed calmly and gently, nourished naturally, and gently parented, in hopes of creating a calmer, gentler world for our children to grow up in.
